Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut

Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle, popularly known as Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut is originally a Japanese light novel series which is written by Senri Akatsuki and illustrated by Ayumu Kasuga and Yuichi Murakami. The first twenty volumes of the novel were published by SB Creative from August 12, 2013 to August 6, 2020 under their GA Bunko imprint.

A manga adaptation was later written by Itsuki Watanabe and the art was designed by Fumi Tadauri. The manga was serialized by Square Enix and GA Bunko’s online magazine Gangan Online from July 17, 2014 to May 11, 2018. The manga adaptation has been collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. For anime, a 12-episode television series adaptation was created by Lerche that aired between January 11 and March 28, 2016.

Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut: Plot

The story of Saijaku Muhai no Bahamuto ages back to the times of a revolt. Five years ago, a revolution overthrows the Arcadia empire. The empire’s former prince, Lux Arcadia, accidentally enters into a female-only bathing area. There, he comes across the new kingdom’s princess Lisesharte Atismata naked. As it happens, the prince discovers the lady’s secret too. After having a duel with Lisesharte, Lux joins a female-only academy to train students into becoming royal Drag-Knights.
Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut was the fourth project that was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the GA Bunko imprint. GAB is the company responsible for bringing the show to life. However Saijaku Muhai No Bahamut Season 2 is yet to be renewed.

Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut: Main Characters

Lux Arcadia- Lux is the seventh crown Prince of the Arcadia Empire. He was overthrown in the revolution five years before the story starts. His defeat in the revolt gave him the nickname of “The Weakest Undefeated Drag-Knight”. The man was later revealed as the mysterious “Black Hero” who was known to have destroyed 1200 drag-rides single-handedly.

Lisesharte Atismata- Atismata is one of the four heroines of the show. She is commonly known as “Lisha” for short. Nicknamed “The Scarlet War Princess”, Lisha wields the Divine Drag-Ride “Tiamat”. She is the princess of the Kingdom of Atismata. We see her dueling Prince Lux for hiz freedom after an incident in the academy’s bath. Later, when he saves her life during an attack from an insurgent group, she falls in love with him. The Princess blushes each time she sees him around. She is the first person in the series, besides Airi and Fugil, to learn that Lux is the legendary “Black Hero”.
The anime daily on Hulu network now. As for a revival, there have been no word from the makers just yet.
