In nutrition, diet is total food consumed by a person for health or weight-management.

Complete nutrition means ingestion and absorption of vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids from protein and essential fatty acids from fat-containing food, also energy in the form of carbohydrate, protein, and fat. Good and balanced dietary hobbits help in living good quality of life and helps in long living life without diseases.

Now we all need a balance of protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals in our diets for healthy body.

Protein – It is essential for building muscle mass. It is commonly found in animal products and dairy products and also in nuts and legumes . It can also helps in fat loss. Many forms of protein powder supplements are also available now days.

Carbohydrates – These are one of body’s main sources of energy and should come from complex, unrefined carbs (vegetables, whole grains, fruit) rather than sugars and refined carbs. We should avoid white bread, pastries, starches, and sugar can prevent rapid spikes in blood sugar and a build-up of fat.

Fat– Not all fat is the same bad fats increase your risk of certain diseases, good fats protect your brain and heart and joints. We can also get fats from supplements like fish oil capsules, flax oil capsules etc. Eating foods high in dietary fiber (grains, fruit, vegetables and beans) can help you stay fit and lower your risk of many diseases.

Others are vitamins and minerals which are also needed by body for various its functions. Now a day’s vitamins and minerals are coming in supplements forms. If we are not getting enough vitamins and minerals in our diet we can get it from supplements also.

Low carb whole food diet – This diet is high in vegetables, meat, fish, eggs, fruits, nuts, and fats and low in starches, sugars, and processed foods.

This diet is very good for weight loss and for maintaining healthy weight.

Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean diet is particularly for heart disease prevention. It includes plenty of vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, whole grains, legumes, dairy products, and extra virgin olive oil.

Paleo Diet

It include lean meats , fish fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and foods that obtained by hunting and gathering. It limits the food that come from farming ie the foods from dairy products, legumes and grains.

Vegan Diet

It has number of health benefits, including weight loss, improved heart health, and better blood sugar control.

The diet is based on plant foods and eliminates all animal products.

Gluten free Diet

The gluten-free diet is essential for people who are intolerant to gluten, protein that is found in wheat, rye, and barley.

For good health, you should focus foods that are naturally gluten-free.

Above this diet there are so many other diets. You are requested to follow only that diet plan that is scientifically proven only.
